On 7 August 1996, President Bill Clinton announced that NASA scientists claimed they may have found evidence of life on Mars after examining meteorite ALH84001 (recovered from the AlanHills region of Antarctica on 27 December 1984 by Roberta Score).
On 23 September 1996, a close encounter allegedly occurred near Falkland Hill in Fife, Scotland involving two women and a 10 year old boy. (Commonly referred to as “The Fife Incident” and “the Falkland Hill landing”)
